Little Movers and Intro to Dance
For little movers aged 2-3 and 3-4, these classes spark a love for dance through playful movement and engaging games. Beyond the fun, your child will develop essential skills like listening, taking turns, following instructions, and lining up. We create a supportive environment where individual and social growth flourish alongside rhythm and gross motor skill development. It's the perfect introduction to dance and a gentle step towards more structured classes.
Preschool and
k-1 Combination classes
these combination classes are specially designed for dancers aged 3-6 (preschool to first grade) lay a strong foundation in ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and/or lyrical. Through engaging activities, dancers learn the beginning fundamentals of each style. Ballet instruction includes barre exercises, across-the-floor movements, and center work. Tap, jazz, and lyrical classes focus on introductory skills, stretching, and learning proper technique. students also learn spatial awareness, practice following instructions effectively, and practice taking turns. Students in the full-year program will participate in 2-3 recital performances, and those in session 4 of the 6-week option will perform 1-2 dances.
2nd-4th grade combination classes
For older students who are new to dance or want to explore multiple styles in a shorter time frame, our combination classes are a perfect fit. These classes build upon the foundational elements of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, and/or lyrical within a single class structure. In ballet, dancers will engage in barre work, across-the-floor exercises, and center technique. Tap, jazz, and lyrical portions focus on style-specific skills, stretching, and technique. Full-year students will showcase their progress in 2-3 recital dances, while those in a 6-week session will perform 1-2 dances.
Ballet
Ballet serves as the foundation for many of today's dance styles, and we offer classes for all levels, from introductory to advanced. Our beginner ballet program focuses on essential classroom etiquette, foundational terminology, proper body alignment, and correct placement through barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor combinations. Advanced ballet classes build upon this foundation, incorporating adagio and allegro movements with combinations designed to refine balance, strength, and artistic expression. Pointe work is available by instructor recommendation. We encourage all dancers to study ballet, as it provides a strong base for success in all other dance styles.
Lyrical
Lyrical blends the technical foundations of ballet and the expressive qualities of jazz, with a primary focus on conveying a story. lyrical is often directly inspired by the song's lyrics, not just its rhythm. In these classes, students will develop lyrical technique while also learning how to channel emotions through their movements, creating a story for their audience.
Jazz
Jazz classes are fun and energetic! Our jazz classes teach jazz technique, terminology, and style with an emphasis movement quality. Classes include engaging warm-ups, isolations, stretches, across-the-floor progressions, and choreography combinations. These classes are perfect for dancers who like movement, challenging themselves, and using style and expression. Set to a variety of fun, engaging, and age-appropriate music, jazz classes are a great workout and fun for all ages.
tap
Get ready to make some noise and have a blast in our tap classes! dancers learn fundamental tap techniques, clear rhythmic patterns, and essential terminology, all while emphasizing proper footwork and musicality. Classes include warm-ups, rhythmic exercises, and fun combinations that will get your feet moving. tap is not only fun but also a great way to improve your coordination and timing, so If you love music, rhythm, and making some noise, tap is the perfect class for you!
acro
Our Acro program offers a progressive approach to developing strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills. This style uniquely combines fundamental acrobatic and gymnastic techniques with dance movement. Beginners will establish a solid foundation with skills like log rolls, forward rolls, cartwheels, and basic balances. Advanced students will continue to build their skills with more complex tumbling and gymnastic elements, such as walkovers, limbers, handsprings, chest rolls, various cartwheels and round-offs, and handstands. All levels will see improvements in strength, flexibility, and balance.
hip hop
Get ready to move in our high-energy Hip Hop classes! This fun class blends street dance styles with funk and jazz influences, creating a dynamic experience for all levels. You'll learn athletic hip hop moves set to upbeat music, focusing on rhythm, coordination, musicality, and exciting choreography. Our classes provide a positive environment, age-appropriate music and movements, where dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having a blast. If you're a high-energy kid looking for a fast-paced and fun dance class, this is the perfect fit!
